Episode 60 ”Don’t wait around!”

Martinique Mims is a slam poet and children’s book author. She writes looking through the lens of history, and the triumphs and challenges people face, especially communities of color at the transformative times we are in. Her goal is to uplift children through her stories, encourage them to be who they are and to realize they are somebody and shouldn’t think less than.

When she is not busy writing inspiring and self-empowering books for children, She enjoys dancing, singing, and finding new styles for her natural hair (which she loves). This is her debut children’s book.

Note: Listen until the end you don’t want to miss it!!
